Class of 2026 at Maui High School, Afemui is in her second year of playing club volleyball here at Maui Encore.
Class of 2027 at Kamehameha Schools Maui, Aki-Kimura is a freshman and is in her second year of playing club here at Maui Encore.
Aloha coaches, my name is Lyla Aki-Kimura and I am a right-side hitter on Maui Encore 16's Yellow (Jersey #88). I am 15 years-old and have been playing club volleyball for about two years. I am interested in furthering my volleyball career after high school and studying architecture. Volleyball has helped me to mentally and physically push to be best version of myself on and off the court. I have been in numerous advanced classes and currently have a GPA of 3.7. I am very excited to have the opportunity to further my education and volleyball career.
Hi coaches, my name is Jamie Gail Cabanas and I am a 16-year-old Junior setter on Maui Encore 16s Yellow wearing jersey #7. I am interested in continuing as a student athlete while furthering my education. I am a dedicated and committed player who loves being on the court. I also like to lead on and off the court.
I am class of 2025 at Maui High School in Hawai’i. I have played 3 years for the Maui High School volleyball program and 4 years for club. After high school, I plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college where I can continue my volleyball career.
Class of 2025 at Maui High School, Falekaono is in her second year of playing club here at Maui Encore.
Class of 2026 at King Kekaulike High School, Kealoha is in her third year of playing at Maui Encore. Kealoha enjoys dancing hula, paddling and is the older sister of Nanea on our 14s team.
Class of 2027 at Kamehameha Schools Maui, Later is in her second year of playing club here at Maui Encore.
Class of 2026 at Maui High School, Mafileo is in her fifth year of playing club here at Maui Encore.
Hi! My name is Kalena Mariani, I am 16 years old (Class of 2026) and have been playing volleyball for about 3 years now. I have played Opposite, Outside, Setter, and Middle in my volleyball career and continue to strengthen myself in all positions. I am a sophomore in Kamehameha Schools Maui and played high school ball on both JV and Varsity. Along with that, I play club for Maui Encore 16s Yellow. I am a very competitive and passionate player. My love for volleyball has always driven me to get better and push myself mentally and physically, whether that be working out in the gym lifting weights or on the court getting extra reps. I do this not only to benefit myself but also my teammates and coaches to be a better asset to the team.
Volleyball has been my outlet for stress, anger, and happiness, and has allowed me to be a part of something bigger than myself. Volleyball and the support of my family has truly shaped me into the person I am on and off the court! Academically I have always strived to do my best and push myself to learn new things. I have an average 4.0 GPA and continue to try my best in school. I would like to go to nursing school or study kinesiology in college, as I have always wanted to follow the footsteps of the other women in my family who have entered the medical field. I am very excited for the opportunity to further my volleyball career and education.
