Our 14s team worked hard and fought once again at the 2024 Aloha Region Spring Break Madness Tournament finishing up undefeated (5-0). Sadly, due to tournament scheduling and prior flight arrangements, the team had to forfeit their championship game. Our girls are excited to come back next month and finish their 2023-2024 season strong!
Yesssiirrr! Congrats to the youngins' of our club rolling up to COMPETE at the Aloha Region President's Tournament. These hammahs tore it up and worked hard for each other! They took 2nd overall in Gold for the 14U Division.
CONGRATULATIONS to Hiki, Lili and Nanea! Way to represent Maui well and work hard for each other!! #MauiStrong #MauiEncoreFamily
We are so proud of our 14s team for competing well this past 3-day-tournament. From being sent all the way to Kailua on the first day to fighting to the very end back at the Hawaii Convention Center. The 'little giants' showed up and represented Maui Encore well! This was a well deserved accomplishment and huge milestone for these hammahs! Mahalo to our hard-working athletes and support from their coaches.
It's only the beginning... #MAUISTRONG
Our 14s had an awesome weekend at Transpac finishing 19 out of 56 teams in the 14U Division!
This championship game was very exciting to watch. It could have gone either way and we are grateful for our new friends from Mauloa. Our girls cannot wait to come back next month to compete
Our 14s team returned back to the big stage in Oahu as they participated in their second tournament of the season! Nerves and pregame jitters were put to the side as they knew what kind of competition was waiting ahead of them.
It was the team's first tournament together and was one for the books! With half the team being first-time club participants, they sure played their hearts out as one.
Running in and out of the court, being ready to hop in and play wherever the team needed that athlete. Our 14s team showed a lot of heart and gained a ton of volleyball experience.
Lots to still learn and improve on, but it's only the beginning which is very exciting! Our girls are excited to head back out to Oahu for the Aloha Region Holiday Classic in December!
Great work ethic never goes unrecognized!
The youngest athlete on our 14s team, Karlee (Hiki) Tagalan-Lum, was awarded "1st Team All-Tournament Selection" along with a lot of other amazing athletes this past weekend at the Aloha Region Fall Festival.
From being able to adjust quickly after making a mistake to always trying her best to listen and apply what her coaches ask of, Hiki is that "hammah" in the making! Congrats again Hiki! Your parents, team and coaches love you!!! Keep being an athlete you would want to play with and cheer your heart out for.
Here we have the 14s warming up for their first game against Quicksets 14-2. You can see the focus on our DS, Mei-Lin Aipa, who waits patiently for a ball to practice her serve for the game.
Aipa is from Lahaina and has been an amazing addition to her team. It is her first year playing club volleyball and her team/coaches love her willingness to better her playing every practice or game. She didn't miss a serve at all this tournament and continues to improve on her defensive skills!
GAME VS QUICKSETS 14-2 (1st Win)
SET 1: 25-16
SET 2: 25-20
Day 1 of the Aloha Region Fall Festival was everything from gut-wrenching plays being made to some exciting and emotional games!
Our RS/OPP, Teliana Mamaʻo (#13), had to step up as our setter for the first day. Nerves and jitters are natural and very understandable for a first-time setter and also first-time club participant.
But Mamaʻo stepped into the role and took up the opportunity! She did an awesome job for her first ever club tournament. Due to a discovered passion for the game and love for her teammates, she was able to do the job! For the parents who got to attend in person or watch live, proud would be an understatement for these girls!

10AM GAME 2 vs SASVBC 14 Randy (L)
11AM GAME 3 vs SLAM 14U (W)

Our girls fought their hearts out and that resulted in them placing 5th in Gold for the next day!
